Can't install Adobe XD

Hello! For years, I've been using XD's free edition on my Mac. I wanted to know whether there was a way to install the app on my brand-new MacBook, which I recently purchased. It takes me to the Creative Cloud app every time I attempt to launch the installer, after which it informs me that I am unable to install it.
