Can't use new installed fonts on old projects.

So bascially the problem I'm having is, let's say I create a project and I put some text, then I search online for a font to use, and install that font.

At first it doesn't appear at the font list, but closing and re-opening the project fixes that, the problem is when you select the new font, the actual font doesn't change and Adobe XD tells you that font is missing.

However if you create a new project you can use that font without any problems.

How can I fix this? I can't start from zero every time I want to install a new font and use it on an already existing project.

    Thanks for using Adobe XD and sharing your feedback about this feature. can you please try to save that the old project as a different one and check if the font is working when you reopen it?

    hi I have the same problem, and it has not been solved yet, and I tried the method you mentioned, but it did not solve the problem for me.

    i use adobe indesign
