Can you export a color palette created in XD library?

Hello everyone. I hope someone has this answer.

Our team started creating color palettes in XD as a library which can then be shared among other Adobe apps. I need to now export this color palette as an ASE or ACO file. However, I can't figure out how to export a color palette that is in libraries? And it doesn't even appear as I can easily export a library into swatches. I have to do them individually and read the color name info separately which is very time-consuming. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Malie

The quickest route, I found, is to paste assets (with colors) into Illustrator, then while selected "add selected colors" to your color palette. You can then export the color palette as an .ase file and import it into other programs like Indesign.

OMG you are a genius! Thank you!
I did what you said, but instead of exporting as an .ase file, I  did "add selected colours" into the Swatches, and grouped them. And add them to my Library "Add the selected Swatches and colour Groups to my current Library" (But, I can add a minimum of 1 colour and a maximum of 5 colours, so I added 5 and added the rest of the selected colours.) And in my Library, I grouped them and I was visible in all my Adobe Library!!

    And Voilà!

I know this is an old message but I do have an answer for you on how to export an XD cc library to either ASE or ACO. But it requires InDesign. Please follow the steps below:

    1. Open InDesign. At the top click on Windows/ Workspace/ Advanced. This will open your cc libraries window.

    2. Select the library you want to export.

    3. Right-click and choose "Add Color Swatches"

    4. Once in the swatches window re-select all the colors you want to export. Click on the dropdown menu and chose "save swatches".

    5. Name your file. It will automatically be saved as an ASE.

Hope this helps even though I am very late.

You are showing the opposite; From InDesign into XD, but The user met from XD to InDesign. What about saving the colours from XD to our Adobe Library or to InDesign or Illustrator, is there a way?

Nope. You will have to manually do this.
