Cannot install XD within the CC program

Before I purchased my Adobe plan, I had the free version of XD installed on my computer. Now, I'm trying to install it within the Creative Cloud program, but it will not work. I have uninstalled the previous version of XD, but the install never completes. Instead, it gets to 100% then returns the button to "Install". I have tried rebooting and using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool as well with no success. Any suggestions?

    I have gotten it to install, however it only installs as a Start menu shortcut and the section for XD in Creative Cloud still says "Install".
