Cannot rename character styles in XD

This is very frustrating bug. Without the ability to rename components or text styles, I can't properly colaborate with my developer. Does anyone know why this is happening? If I try to rename a text style or component, one of the other previously renamed components changes back to the default name. See video.

    Hi Sergiov,

    Sorry for the issue you are facing. We have an internal bug logged for it and our developers are looking into it with priority. Until then the workaround is just after renaming a component/character style/color asset press enter.

    2 years later and this issue is still present, dissapointing.

      Hi, 

      I am experiencing this porblem with reniaming components at the moment. Does anyone know what is it or if it's system failure?
      Basically, renaming first component went well, but when I am trying to rename second components - both component names return to the initial one.

      I would request you to please try the workaround suggested in the correct answer to the post and let us know if that helps.

      That workaround does not help. For some reason only a few can be named, before switching back. This is a huge ordeal. How can I use and reuse my styles? I am aimlessly searching for them all the time. FIX IT NOW. It's been like this for a very long time.

        Hi there,

         

        We are sorry for the frustration and thanks for sharing the video. Would you mind telling us the OS and XD version of your machine? Does that happen with every file or with a specific file? Have you tried signing out of XD, Creative Cloud, restarted the machine and then sign back in? 

         

        We will try our best to investigate on the issue.
