Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the video with us for reference. Let me share this feedback with the team. Meanwhile, please try the following steps:

  • Delete the master component from the artboard
  • Go to the components panel
  • Right click on the component>Edit master component.
  • Now make changes to the component and it should reflect the same changes in the components panel.

and let us know if that helps. We would also request you to please share the XD version of your machine.

Thanks,

Harshika

You are creating complex new component from 2 seperate Component. Thats why the origan component stay as component.

This is a normal wrkflow.

1. Create rectangle

2. Create circle

3. Group them and create a new component

4.Delete circle

5 Only rectangle will stay as component.

Pleas ereview https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/components.html.  If you find that this s a bug please report here for investigation. https://adobexd.uservoice.com

I'm having the same issue, and it is making XD unusable.
Nested symbols/components are industry standard practice & need to be reliable.

Why you think this a bug?. Can you describe expected and actual result? Please note that making component means grouping. thank you

Hi Ares_Hovhannesyan,

When deleting the smaller circle master component from the Assets menu and then when removing the smaller circle (that is not a component anymore) from the other master component, this master component in the Assets menu will still contain the deleted component, but it shouldn't.
