hey everyone, im new in Adobe XD, I would like to do a button that when i press it, the background image of my artboard will be replaced by another image. I tried with Overlay but the image was sent to the front and not to the back.. is there any way to control the layer that the Overlay would be placed?

By it's nature the Overlay is above the original artboard. To do what you are trying to do, you will need to clone the artboard and make the change on the cloned artboard. Then you can wire the button to go from artboard 1 t artboard 2.
