character viewer short cut doesnt work in adobe xd (mac)

hi,  i have trouble using "control +  command + space" shortcut in adobe xd to see character viewer menu. it doesnt pop up when i press it, it doesnt work in adobe apps, but everywhere else it does. do you know why is that?

    From my understanding apps have to support that, and Adobe is not that best at supporting things that are specific/native to only one platform (macOS or Windows).
