Component and fonts don't update

Hi there,

I'm experiencing a thing that never happened before on XD.

I duplicated a XD project to change a font and some colors without losing the original version.
I had all my style and components set and I started changin some fonts for H1 title and colors for footer. 

First I highlighted the titles on canvas, then changed the typography and it was ok.

I did the same for other titles and text and nothing changed at all. Same with the footer color. XD recognizes the elements where a feature is applied but then it doesn't change the.

 

It would be a nightmare to edit one piece at the time, so I'm asking if you ever had this problem and how did you fix it. Thank you a lot!

    The latest XD update has a bug that broke text styles, which Adobe is now aware of and working on a fix. You can read more about that here Editing character styles not working - Adobe Support Community

     

    On a related note... Last year Adobe announced their intent to purchase Figma, so they've ended Adobe XD. XD is only getting minor life-support updates and has been removed so people can no longer get new memberships for it (it's only available for those who have it). I recommend you switch to Figma (which is better) as soon as possible. One thing to keep in mind is that Adobe has not yet purchased Figma, because the purchase must still be approved by the the US and EU governments.

    I just saw there's a new update for XD. I haven't tried it yet, but maybe that includes the bug fix.

    Hello there,
    I am experiencing the same issue. Also, when transfering artboards (from an original file I use as a design system) to a new document (I make templates for my colleagues, but I want to be able to control the design from one file) only the components are linked with my original file, but neither the colors nor the fonts can be controlled via the design system anymore. This ruins the entire purpose of a design system for me.
