Question

Components shifting/moving

Hello,

Woundering if someone can assist. Our team has an issue we've encountered regarding text boxes used as components in our design files. When we make changes to the text on the main component, we've noticed that the positioning of the text boxes on multiple art boards shifts or moves slightly, resulting in slight variations among them. While these differences might not seem significant at first, they become more pronounced, especially on smaller sizes. As we strive for consistency and precision in our designs, this has become a concern.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue before? We are unsure whether this is a bug in the design tool or a known issue. Any assistance or insights regarding this would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

I've attached a screenshot example, you will notice very so slightly the shifts.

Components shifting or moving can refer to various situations depending on the context. Here are a few possibilities:

    1. Physical components in machinery or devices: In mechanical systems, electronic devices, or appliances, components may shift or move due to vibration, wear and tear, or improper installation. This movement can lead to malfunctioning, decreased performance, or even complete failure of the system.

    2. Structural shifting: In buildings or structures, components may shift or move over time due to settling, ground movement, or structural issues. This can cause cracks, uneven floors, and compromised stability.

    3. Software components: In software development,   Restoration Service  components are modular pieces of code that interact to form a larger application. Sometimes, during programming or updates, components may inadvertently shift or move, leading to bugs or unexpected behavior.

    4. Electronic components: In electronic circuits, components like resistors, capacitors, or integrated circuits can shift or become loose due to factors like temperature changes, mechanical stress, or poor soldering. This can result in circuit malfunction or failure.

    5. Human body components: In medical contexts, components within the human body (e.g., bones, joints) can shift or move due to injuries, aging, or medical conditions. Such shifts may cause pain, limited mobility, or other health issues.

    6. Supply chain components: In logistics and manufacturing, components or parts used in the production of goods might experience shifting, causing delays or disruptions in the supply chain.

In any of these cases, shifting or movement of components can lead to various problems and should be addressed promptly to prevent further complications. Proper maintenance, inspection, and quality control are essential to ensure the stable and reliable functioning of systems././?

@hyden311756861hlp Thank you for your input, but what @SergioMatos17096115 asked about is the components in XD, not components as in general industrial terms. I'm sure you're trying to be helpful so thank you nevertheless 🙂

Hi @SergioMatos17096115, if I'm not missing something, you can solve the problem by sacrificing flexibility of the textbox' horizontal size, by selecting "fixed size" for the text box, instead of "auto width" (I'm sure you know what I mean but if you need to check a video about textboxes https://youtu.be/5q9M9rWFNEg?t=557 should help), that's the only way I could fix it, hope this helps!
