Connecting multiple XD Files

Is it possible to connect one XD document with another when prototyping?
When i click on a button in the main document it should switch to the other document. But I don't know how. 
I don't want my main document to be overload with different artboards.

    @Grafik5E89 have you thought of trying to use different flows, overlays or even use layers, and just hide the layers when you change the default state to hover/toggle states

    Sadly no. You are going to have a single XD file.
