Convert XD files to Figma

Hi there,

 

With XD (presumably) closing by the end of the year, I want to switch to Figma. Is there a way to convert my XD files to Figma without losing the prototype links and component attributes?

      Hi @Christina28888833jm6l, I don't know a way of converting without losing prototype links and component attributes but I'm going to paste one of my previous answers for comverting methods mentined here:

      "..would like to share a workaround I found here ( https://forum.figma.com/t/xd-to-figma/3956/6 ) : "Export your XD file as SVG, drag & drop to your figma file. It will work perfectly."

      I used this for a massive NEH-funded project I needed to move, and it worked really well, apart from not adding my fonts (which was expected).

          Have heard mixed reviews. Usually the core elements come through fine, prototyping aspects might be more prone to issues. Probably easier than copying and pasting.

           

          I keep hoping for a real solution from Figma...

              Hi @AkinGn,

              thanks for your answer. I already knew the copy SVG code method and Convertify didn't work that good for me either. I'll use the SVG code as base and buid/tweak the missing parts manually, but thanks anyway for your tips!

              Hi @Christina28888833jm6l , I wish I was more helpful but as of now unfortunatey there isn't some "inter-apps" way of preserving prototype interactions, connections etc. If you come up with any other solutions, I'd appreciate if you update us since it'd be much more helpful for other people to convert their files to Figma (which is going to be more often as we all guess) Thank you as well!
