Copy/paste Master component from Document History version to Current of main Library file broken

No support for reverting to previous version makes the new mandatory Library set-up pointless!

You say you can't revert to a previous version of an XD file in your Versioning FAQ:

  • How do I revert to earlier versions of a file?
    Note:
You cannot revert an XD document to its previous version directly from the Creative Cloud website. To revert to a previous version from Adobe XD, open a version of the document from Document history, and copy and paste the content to your current version.

You've just forced everyone over to using Libraries. This is something that should've been fixed/done before you did that. I can't believe that this is still sitting in a feature request with only 61 votes (at time of writing) and that you didn't think this would GREATLY affect the move to Libraries!

Also, I have to say I agree with this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd-discussions/upcoming-change-to-local-linked-assets-september-2021/m-p/12310715#M53954

I've spent weeks migrating stuff to a library file as you've instructed we do. Now that I have a library file, I'm working in it and updating it.

The problem with all of this: If I make a mistake in my library file or (like what's just happened today) the file decides to disconnect and suddenly (and for no apparent reason) ungroup and delete master components that I set up weeks ago and haven't changed since that are being used by several other documents (this is a library after all), I can't revert to the version that still had all my master components there and grouped properly.

You say to copy and paste from a version in the Document History to the current version. Well, doing this simply makes an instance of the one in the current version, the now corrupt master — ungrouped and missing items, in my case! None of the original stuff stays when you paste it! Now I'm stuck not only rebuilding the master components but EVERY SINGLE INSTANCE of the original ones in all the other documents that use this library!!!

Not sure how much this relates to this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd-discussions/copying-components-revert-them-to-master-state/td-p/11112537
