Question

Create Image System Across Artboards from a Library

Using an Atomic System Mentality. I'm trying to concoct a way to be able to drop in images in one go for Desktop and Mobile. My thought aruond this system right now is to create a Master Component where the image can be dropped in. Take that and build it into both the Desktop and Mobile Artboard Content.... the only issue with this system is how do I apply this to a library based system, I would like for other designers on our team to be able to do this within each of their documents so it doesn't affect everyone elses. Any thoughts?

Hey tliedel, if I understand correctly, you want to make this component, which will be used in different artboards within the same document (mobile and desktop), and you want to publish it to a library, so others can use it in their documents. You also want for others to be able to update the image in the main component and get that change propagated within their own artboards, but not to the main component in the library. Is this correct?

If the above is what you meant, I'm not sure it can be achieved like that with the way libraries work. One might have to make the component local, in order to isolate changes to their own file(s). You can't just use the functionality of the main component, the content goes along with it. And if any update is made to the component in the library, it will prompt an update on all files it's used in.
