Creative Cloud library icons with masks created in Illustrator aren't showing the mask in XD.

Question

I just don't understand this behavior, maybe somebody can help me pls?

I created some icons in Illustrator and saved them in a CC library
The icons are all masked so that they have a uniform size of 16x16 px
If I add them from the libary in an illustrator file they look fine and they all have the same size

they are both structured in the same way with a mask and a path

Now I open my XD file, I import the same icons from the CC library its weird...- the left icon is fine = it has the mask and is 16x16px- However, the right one seems to lack the mask

I tried various things, but I couldnt come up with an explanation of why it happens in the first place and also why the two icons are different.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Anybody else experiencing these issues?
I'm on Windows 10, using XD Version: 41.1.12.9, Creative Cloud Sync 4.14.0.17
