Developer handing over issue

What is the industry standard practice? The frontend developer needs icons as fill/shape, not stroke outlines. Do we need to maintain a separate illustrator file for creating icons and then use the fill version in XD design or is the developer supposed to do that conversion on their end?

You could add your Illustrator shapes to a CC Library that can be accessed from within Adobe XD. You can also add your Adobe XD assets to the same library. Here's more information:

Hi @Megha007, hmm I'd decide it with the team, not every solution is applicable to every team, with a quick Google search, as you said, there's a possibility to do the stroke to fill conversion with code: https://github.com/oslllo/svg-fixer On the other hand I don't know if it adds too much extra code. With another quick search, as I see it's possible to automate the stroke to fill also on Illustrator: https://youtu.be/yGQ0rdLeGrw?t=130 Haven't watched the whole video but looks like it has some hints on the subject. So I'd suggest discussing it with the team, feel free to update us as I also would like to hear about this, happy designing!
