Hi,

Is it possible to see the vertical and horizontal between two items? I normally select two items in sketch and it displays it a window.  If not how would I place the two items exactly 10px apart like the way sketch does? Thanks

    Hi Tariq,

Thanks you for using XD. If you want to align and position objects within your artboards from top to bottom? Use vertical guides. If you want to align and position objects from left to right, use horizontal guides. Please see this article for more info: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/user-guide.html/xd/help/work-with-guides-and-grids-in-adobe-xd.ug.html#:~:text=Create%20guides,-Do%20you%20want&text=If%20you%20want%20to%20align,to%20right%2C%20use%20horizontal%20guides.&text=To%20create%20a%20vertical%20guide,it%20to%20the%20desired%20position.

Let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Harshika

XD does not have the exact feature like Sketch does (which works very well), but here's a workaround/different approach:

    1. Group the objects.
    2. In the Properties panel on the right check on Stack.
    3. To the right of Stack a spacing number will appear. Adjust that as desired.
    4. Ungroup the objects if needed... or keep them grouped because the Stacks feature is pretty cool and you might like it.

This is NOT the correct answer. Please see other answers for how to do this.

    Hi Tariq,

Thanks for reaching out. To measure distances between an object and the artboard, or an object and other surrounding objects by clicking the object and pressing the Option key on Mac, or the Alt key on Windows. For more information, please refer to this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/user-guide.html/xd/help/drawing-text-tools.ug.html#:~:text=Click%20the%20object%2C%20press%20the,the%20Option%20or%20Alt%20key.

Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.
