Drag Trigger Breaks Links

I used a drag tigger on a large banner image behind the navigation. (The navigation was on top of the banner image instead of having a solid background - just part of the design.) However, even through the drag trigger was behind the navigation - it caused all the links in the navigation to break. I could only get the navigation to work if I removed that drag trigger on the banner image. 

Not awesome - as I was using the drag trigger to show that a solid background filled in behind the navigation on scroll. I had to work around this by using a tap trigger instead - but just wanted to know if anyone has expedrienced similar issues with the drag trigger?
