How do I edit an existing text in a jpeg?

You cannot edit text in a JPEG, as the JPEG format is a flat image that has no editable text layer. You can try open it in Photoshop as @Atul_Saini said, then create a text layer replicating the existing text, then fill the existing text area to erase it (Photoshop Content-aware fill is brilliant for this so I'd use that, if the original artwork is suitable)
