ERROR 47 while working on a cloud file in XD

Dear Adobe Support,

for 3 years now I get the error 47 out of completely unfathomable things. All the solutions proposed in the forum are absolute crap. They are all according to the pattern you already tried to turn it on and off. I just don't understand how you can open a file in one moment and not in the next. So downloading the file and working locally is not a solution for me. Then it can't be shared and colleagues can't see my changes. Also, as a developer, I don't understand why XD can't just retrigger this download itself.
Since we all pay money for XD and the cloud I would like to urge Adobe to solve this problem.

We understand how frustrating it could be to be unable to use the file. We would feel the same in your situation. We would love to investigate your file. 

 

  • Is it possible for you to share the file with me over a private message so that we can investigate at our end?
  • Is it a cloud file or a local file?
  • Please share the version of XD and the details of your operating system.
  • Have you tried opening the file on any other machine?

Hello Harshika,

It is always a Cloud Document. I'm using 57.1.12.2 Creative Cloud 6.5.3.1 on Windows 10.

In that case, my co-worker was able to open the document on his apple machine. Then removed me from the List, invited people, and added me again.

Sometimes I also have the impression, the starting point of this Error is, when I start the XD on my Windows machine locally and give it to my co-worker via the cloud that he can use it on his mac.

As soon I have the case again with one of my files, I send you the link. It can take only a couple of days, normally I have once a week.

One more thing on this, when the Error 47 happens, it also makes no sense to create a new empty document and save it directly to the cloud. If you have that problem so often like I do your Cloud space is full of empty Documents, I have to delete by hand.

Please generate logs next time the issue happens for tracking purposes that will help our engineering team to investigate the root cause of the issue.
