I tried your scenario but wasn't able to reproduce the issue.

So , I may need more details:

1. Is it specific to file ? If yes, what you did before the issue encounters.

2. Xd version

3. Windows OS version

If issue continues, please provide Adobe Xd logs from

%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Adobe.XD.XXXX\LocalState\AdobeXD.log with a short clip
