Export Assets Bug

There is a bug in exporting assets from different instances. When an asset is in a different instance but is not visible in the default state it will NOT export with all of the other assets. Even when marked as an asset for export but it is in a different instance (not in the default state).

 

The big issue here is that the developers will not get all of the assets needed to build that prototype.

      Hi Charles,

       

      Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please share a few more details like:

       

      1. The version of XD and OS.
      2. Is this happening with duplicated components?
      3. Will it be possible for you to share a small video of the workflow, we'll need to test this on our end.

      It is happening from a duplicated component from the default state.

      You will notice in the video that I created two instances. One was default and one from the default. The tabs were created to display and hide the content below. The icons are displayed in only one tab at a time. I marked both icons for export. The problem is that one icon is not showing up in the exported files.
