Export image without an artboard and XD hangs

I've had XD hang on me a few times recently and just worked out this seems to happen when you export an image from the pasteboard without an artboard. My XD version is 30.3.12.5 and my OS is macOS Catalina 10.15.5.

I tested image export from XD 30.3.12.5 pasteboard on macOS Catalina 10.15.5 and didn't face any issues. 

Please share more details, i.e. like the Image format, which on the pasteboard, and to which format your exporting and the steps of the same.

You can also try reinstalling the XD app, which might fix the issue.
