Feature Request-Drag and drop image in XD reduces the size of the image to half of the original.

Hey guys,

When I drag and drop an image into my XD ccanvas, from chrome for example, or from file explorer, the size of the image in XD is like half of the real size of the image. Why does it resize? How can I make XD stop resizing the images I drag and drop into the canvas?

Hi chris.bannu,

 

Thank you for reaching out. This is an expected behavior for JPG images. Importing a JPG automatically halves the size, but any other supported document format will come in at 100%. This is the same on Windows and Mac.

 

We also have a similar request raised on our XD UserVoice page. We would request you to please submit your feedback and upvote the request to add your voice. Also, check out, Peter Flynn comment in the comment section.

  1. The version of XD & OS.
  2. Is this happening with every file or multiple files?
  3. Will it be possible for you to share a small video of the workflow?
