Hi

I love Adobe XD and I have used it the last 5 years. Now we have hired a new young gun who says that Figma is the new black and we should stop using XD.... What the f.....???

My manager (a developer) ...is I know, wants us to have meeting where we talk about pros and cons ...Figma vs XD.

Please help me anybody!! #adobe wake up what are the solid arguments for going with XD vs Figma?

My meeting is on Thursday 😞

Best regards
Tonny

Figma is very popular and aligns better with some developer workflows. But depending on what you are developing for that might be moot. I design for embedded UIs, so the "advantages" of Figma don't apply to my workflow. Another factor to consider is are you working in new projects or existing projects? If the latter, what is the cost of migration?

I am a highly proficient user of both platforms. I recommend you take a Figma course and learn both. Figma is an amazing tool. XD was my favorite back in 2016-2020. I designed lots of iOS / Android apps in it. I created many many very realistic prototypes in it. Then once I got the hang of Figma I realize it's much better if you start with a Atoms and Molecules, and start building and maintain a design system. Also our developers get to see the work being updated in real time via the web in Figma, so it's far easier to work collaboratively.

Hi Tonny.  Adobe saw your comment and decided to buy Figma.
