File disconnects when another users joins

Here is what seems to be happening:

Person 1 is currently working on that file. Person 2 opens the file and joins. Immediately, Person 1 is kicked off of the file and shows disconnected with the loading bar shown. If Person 1 force closes the app altogether and reopens the file, Person 2 is kicked off of the file. It goes back and forth like this.

We have several files shared between the design team and only this one specific file seems to do this.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Please ensure that all the collaborators are on the latest version which is XD 34.2. In case if it is still doesn't work, please share a few more details like:

Is the owner of the document is getting disconnected or the collaborator?
Is this happening with a specific collaborator on that file or multiple collaborators?
