Question

File has gone missing?

Hey Adobe Community,

I've been working in Adobe XD to create a storefront (desktop and mobile).
I had created the desktop version earlier this week and started a new folder within my Creative Cloud Assets named Blaze.me/Storefront/Storefront-Web
A few days later I began the mobile version and saved it to Blaze.me/Storefront/Storefront-Mobile

The problem is that when I got up to finish up that project today I discovered that the entire folder had gone missing.
I was able to find "Storefront-Web" in the temporary AppData folders, but the mobile version is nowhere to be found.

Oddly enough, both of those files showed up in the "Recent Files" list within Adobe XD. When clicked on it would show an error saying that "File Could Not Be Found".

I've been able to salvage half of my project, but I have no idea why the mobile design went completely missing.
I can't find it through the online Adobe CC Library either.

Any ideas on how to recover this file?

I was able to find my files within the 'Archived' area of my Creative Cloud.
What prompted it to be moved to the archive though? I certainly didn't delete the folder, and inactivity shouldn't have been an issue either.

Firstly it sounds like you were able to recover your files so that's great to hear.

It definitely doesn't seem logical that the files have moved on their own.

Was there an XD update between creating and re-opening?

Did you do any work outside of XD which might have moved them?

I would suggest keeping back-ups on your computer so you can easily access them again if something like this should happen in the future.
