There is some conversion about Open Sans font https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-xd-discussions/font-problems-in-xd-specifically-open-sans/td-p/11367759

I haven't any problem with Open Sans font when testing its weigh now. Can you reinstall Public Sans font on your machine and try again. Also what is your OS?

I download Public Sans from Public Sans Font Family : Download Free for Desktop & Webfont (cufonfonts.com) and use successfully now in Adobe XD without any problem for Weight.
