Fonts Missing that are installed

I'm working with a collaborative cloud document and using the free Google font...Inter.  My collaborator uses a Windows computer and I use MacOS, but we are having issues where Adobe XD indicates that fonts our missing when we have them both installed.

For instance, my XD says Inter - Semibold is missing even though I have it installed, but on his computer, it shows it is installed.  This is a problem because we are using the same font from Google and working on the same file yet weights of the same font are inconsistant or missing.

I have no idea how to resolve this.
