Is it possible to create a gradient over an image without using multiple objects? Like this: Applying a gradient fill to a photo in XD only replaces the image with the fill, instead of layering it on top, which is how Sketch works.

Is it possible to create a gradient over an image without using multiple objects? Like this:

Assuming that I got your question, can you try the following?

- Create a separate layer

- Create a box and apply gradient fill to it

- Move it on top of the image
