Gradients not importing properly

When copying an object from Illustrator that contains a gradient into XD the gradient is not setup correctly. When looking into the issue I came across this article https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/xd/help/gradients.html and saw that an SVG is needed. So I saved my icons as SVGs and imported those but the same problem persists.You can see in the attched screenshot of how far off the gradient is from the shape, plus each stop point is right on top of each other. This is annoyingly time consuming to have to fix them.

Here is the link to the file. I recommend using one of the objects from the active layer as those gradients are at an angle.

I too am encountering this issue. From what I can gather, XD does bring the gradient into the application, but it's only applied incorrectly. When I zoom all the way in, I can see the start of the gradient on the left and it ends at like 1% of the width of the shape.

It's really frustrating to see this issue still hasn't been solved so many years after reporting. We're simply being ignored.

As of 2022, this issue hasn't been fixed.

I can't wait to see how you riddle poor Figma with these kinds of bugs and other "issues". SMH.

That's why Adobe has been all these years without any kind of serious improvement on XD. They were saving (our) money to buy Figma and get all the XD refugees back home.

I had switched to Axure over a year ago because XD was too slow on certain features. I want conditional interactions as well as components interacting with each other without having to be lumped into one symbol. Figma is just more of the same in my opinion.

This still has not been resolved!??

I to am trying to copy SIMPLE gradients from .ai to xd and the issue is still there. Please can you fix this asap.

Still got the same issue, almost 2 years after this issue was reported here. @HARSHIKA_VERMA Could you please prioritize this issue and update us asap. We all pay for these programs!

October 2020 so almost a year and they haven't done anything with this - like with a lot of other, 2-3 year old bugs.

Was this fixed? Because Boy I paid hella expensive for Adobe and it gave me this problem that could potentially mess things up.. 🙂 Would just like to know updates on this because I tried copying my illustration and it does not work still.

Hey... atleast don't make us waste our time marking the answer as "Solved" or "correct". It's far from solved... it's simply consigned to oblivion.

Each week I have to lose hours searching for solutions to the myriad of XD bugs and issues... all are "solved". Obviously, when you think you found your salvation, you face a crude answer from 2016 telling it's in the backlog.

What is the OS & XD version of your machine?
Could you please share a short video of the issue? So that we can understand better.

Hi there, Thanks for responding. My OS is 10.14.5, Illustrator is 24.0 and XD is 24.3.22.2. When further playing around with it it seems to only affect gradients that are not vertical or horizontal. So if I have a gradient at an angle it is not honoured. I have a video showing the issue and can share my Illistrator file.

Ok I can't seem to add my Illistrator file, says not supported file type even though it is an .ai
