Question

High CPU usage on XD 50 on windows 10 machine

Adobe XD is the only app that uses a lot of CPU even when it's idle. I don't want to close it, but I wonder why the CPU is always in use by XD!

  • Windows 10
  • RAM 64GB
  • XD version 50.0.12

Hi THE-KAL,

We are sorry for the trouble. This is definitely not expected. We will definitely highlight this to our product team. Could you please help us with some logs?

We would request you to please share the spin dump as well, along with the logs, so that we can share it with them.

Steps to collect Spin dump-

Win

  • Launch Task Manager
  • Select the Adobe XD process
  • Right click on the Adobe XD process
  • Select “Create dump file”
  • This will generate a binary file

Mac

  • Launch Activity Monitor
  • Select Adobe XD process (might show as “Not Responding”)
  • Click on the gear in the upper left of the Activity Monitor
  • Select “Spindump”
  • This will generate a text file

Once you generated both the logs, please upload the files to a shared location such as CC or Dropbox and share the URL with me over a private message. Please also share the details of your operating system and the screenshot of About XD info page.

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika
