Question

How can I prevent "Ctrl Lock" after switching to XD by "Alt+Tab" on Windows?

Ctrl key is sometimes held unexpectedly after switching to XD by "Alt+Tab" shortcut on Windows.

When this happens, your mouse wheel behaves zoom-in/out instead of scroll up/down.

You just press Ctrl key once and the lock will be released but the unexpected zoom-in/out behaviour is so annoying. How can I prevent this problem? I think XD devs should fix a bug, though.

OS: Windows 11 (happened on Windows 10 as well)

XD: Latest version (happened from older versions, at least from 2020 or 2021, I'm not sure)

Hi @Satoru23033545q481,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble. Would you mind checking if you've a sticky key enabled on your window machine?

Please try turning it off and again as shown in the screenshot below:-

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi Harshika,

Thank you for reaching out.

I tried it but nothing changed. The issue still happens.

Also, the screenshot you attached seems to be Windows 10, not for Windows 11. I don't run Adobe XD on Windows 10 any more, "happened on Windows 10 as well" was just for information.
