How to built in Annotations in XD?

Hi Everyone,

I'm sharing XD flows with my developer, and see there is an option on the bottom to "hide annotations"...

But how do I actually add annotations?  It seems like a feature built into XD but I cannot find any info on how to add...

I've attached a screnshot of the icon at the bottom of my Flow Share screen in the browser.

Hi @Complete , I guess a plugin "Notes and Annotations" makes it possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rAYta9IkJE&t=11s , also developers can comment on design specs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A99ziWRuOrg Hope this helps!

Unless those notes are part of the flow, they aren't included in the XD link where the above screen capture is taken from.  So far as I can tell, this solution doesn't actually have anything to do with the OP's question about the option on the XD link. I would also like to know what that feature is. So far as I can tell, it does nothing. Am I missing some setting in the XD file?

Hello @juliejacob, you're actually right, I answered for a solution in design phase but this is about a shared design, so annotations that are mentioned there are about the "pinned comments" on design, at the shared link. As you know  , you can pin comments on specific points on the design, by clicking the speech bubble on the top right, and clicking the pin icon, you can click a specific point on the design to "point out" that part / pin a comment. You should be able to see "Comment 1" and "Comment 2" as my test comments in both of the artboards I created in this sample file link: https://xd.adobe.com/view/b2a44662-df48-486b-b8ae-6937d055d692-e7f7/ You can see how numbered circles/pins on artboards (that indicates the pointed out comments) disappear when you click "Hide annotations" at the bottom right. You can also see all comments made about all artboards by toggling "All screen comments" on, at the bottom right. Thank you for the update 😇

Edit: Actually in my first reply, the second video I shared ( https://youtu.be/A99ziWRuOrg?t=118 ) shows how to pin comments/add annotations on design, so if the second video was checked, the part about creating annotations would be clearer, the video just doesn't mention about toggling the annotations/pins on design, but thank you again 🙂
