How to convert a component into a master component

Hi! I have created a master component (a button) and I used it as the base for other buttons across my project. I now need to convert one of these other buttons into the master component. Is that possible? If so, can you guide me through it?

    To do this try the following. Unlink the button that you want to transform into a new master component. This will break it's linkage. So if you make a change to its former component it will NOT be applied to it. Once you have severed the component you can then transform it into a new component.
