How to Install Adobe XD which does not require it to have access to the Windows Runtime API?

Hi,
 
Is there ANY way of installing Adobe XD which does not require it to have access to the Windows Runtime API?
Our security team are refusing to budge on the stance by the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) that Adobe XD should be blocked from accessing the API.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay in response. We would like to know a few details like-

How you're blocking these APIs?
What error are you getting when you try to install XD after the APIs are blocked?
Please generate Adobe logs and upload them to a shared location such as CC or Dropbox and share the URL with me over a PM.
Are you working in an enterprise network?
