Correct answer Dan Rodney

For something like a button, you'd use the font size (23px here) and then add padding.

Is there a specific kind of thing you're trying to size?

Some things will translate into pixels while others should be percentages, vw or vh. It all depends on how things will need to change as the window resizes. Some areas will end up being margins, padding, borders, etc.

I'm not sure if that helps, but maybe you can be more specific?
