Question

How to use shared device package license on Adobe XD on windows machine?

Everyone,

I have created a shared device package for adobe XD for windows. I install the program but it is only available for the admin account that installed. The program is installing into c:\program files\windowsapps

Is there any way to get it so every user on the machine is able to use XD. If they try to install via the cloud it is asking for admin rights, something our students do not have on the machines.

Thank you for reaching out. We would request you to please check out this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/enterprise/using/sdl-faq.html for shared device licensing that might help you answer your question.

Thanks,

Hi Harshika,

The issue raised in the original post is not limited to one client. I received an exact similar complaint from a university IT. The link you posted in your reply is a general one. Can you please elaborate on this and see if the education team or XD team has a specific answer?

I have the same complaint. Recent package, all apps, shared device license, apps updated during semester break so they're current. Admin account sees all 26 apps including XD. Student accounts not only don't see XD, but when it's run from the start menu, it immediately reports error 49 when creating a project.

It comnpletely ruined lecture for our faculty staff member.
