I can't make new document in adobe XD

Question

Hey, I have a macbook air and I just downloaded the adobe XD from the creative cloud but I am not able to make a new document, I tried file-new but nothing happened.

This is my main menu, I don't have samples either...

Can somebody help me out? I really don't know what to do.
