I'm Trying to Build a Simple Calorie Calculator in Adobe XD. Any Tips or Suggestions?

Hey everyone, I’m working on a quick project in Adobe XD to create a mockup of a simple calorie calculator. The idea is to allow users to input their food items or drinks, and the design would show the total calories – similar to what you see on the starbuckcaloriecalculator.com
.

I’m wondering if Adobe XD can handle basic functions like input fields and calculations, or do I need to switch to something like Adobe Animate to add more interactivity?

Also, I’m adding a screenshot to give a better idea of what I’m working on. Please share your thoughts or suggestions on how to improve this.

Has anyone tried building something like this? I’d love to hear your tips or experiences!

XD offers no logical controls or scripting functions. If you want that level of fidelity in your prototype, then you will need to use Adobe Animate or HTML/CSS/JS to create it. XD can be used to create the design and produce the visual assets, but the functionality will have to be done elsewhere.

Got it, Chris. That clears things up. I’ll keep the design work in XD and move the functional part to HTML and JS later on. Appreciate the straightforward answer.
