Import AI document, cant move layers

Sorry this is probably a stupid question, but I imported an AI document into XD with plenty of layers, but now I can NOT reaarange the layers or move elements into new groups. 

 

So I have a group of componentns or a single element and cant move them around in the layers view on the left. 

 

Any thoughts how this can be solved? Thanks in advance for the support.

    1. The version of XD and OS.
    2. Is this happening on a specific file or multiple files?

    1. XD latest version (42.1.22.4..) and OS MAC OS (11.4) it also happens on Windows.

    2. Only this specific file I imported its an AI file I got from a designer

    3. I got it but I should still be able to just "rearrange" the layers and move them up, down and in different groups, should I not?

    When I copy one group into a "normal/old" document, I can rearrange the elements in that group again. So I was assuming it has to do with the general document setup or something similar.
