Is it possible to make a scroll group be the parent of components?

I have a scroll group contaning a zebra stripe table where I have hover on the backgroud color of the rows but in inaddition it also does an image change. The way I have it setup it seems I make have messed up the order because image chanage does not work correctly within a scroll group. I can do it outside of it though. What am I missing?
