Is there option to disable auto-select in Adobe XD?

Hello! This is annoying behavior of XD when I try to move e.g. small icon I have to zoom in and click exactly on its path to move it. Otherwise, it is a 100% chance that I'll move layer which is under that icon. Is there any option to prevent that? Like auto-select in PS? Tell me please how to tackle with that 🙂

Hi Mike,

We are sorry for the annoyance. We have seen a similar request has been raised here: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/19160395-option-to-turn-auto-select-off we would request you to please submit your feedback and upvote the request to add your voice.

Thanks,

It is June 2023 and that auto-select in XD is the thing that still annoys me the most. Why Adobe hasnt fix that? they know is bad UX in their software... Or they want us to use Figma instead... maybe...

May be this is irrelevant but you can use Cmd key (on Mac) to select a specific object

Would love if you could pass this suggestion along to the devs.  There are multiple feature requests for this.  Multiple threads of people asking for it.

We are paying a lot for these Adobe tools these days.  Would be nice if Adobe would spend some of that money on common feature requests and not just more AI tools and Adobe Canva.
