Letter spacing when copying and pasting from Illustrator to XD

Hi,

Whenever I copy and paste text from Illustrator to XD, the letter spacing between certain pairs of characters appears to default to zero. This is currently the case for both Lato and Noto Sans.

For example, between "Y" and "o" on Lato, and between "r" and "." on Noto Sans – the characters are almost touching each other and it looks terrible. I note that all of the examples I have observed are for character pairs where you would expect there to be kerning (overlapping glyphs).

Could this please be looked in to and remedied?

Thanks

@sp4711 Figma is the way to go as it is more recognized as a wireframe, mockup and prototype tool in one and havng the ability to draw as well. Firefly? I have only used it for AI Images but not for a wireframe, mockup and prototype tool

@sp4711 was this an issue before the update or after the update of Xd. If this was before the update, maybe try updating to the the new update. If it was after the update, you may try to go back to the previous version. Because XD is in maintenance mode, no new developments will be made, only security and maybe bugs be done

Thank you. My version is up to date, but I had no idea XD was in development mode. That's a spanner in the works! Perhaps the developers will still fix the bug.

Any thoughts on the best alternative? Being able to copy and paste directly from Illustrator is high up my list of desirable features.

A quick search suggests Figma is a good option. And what about Adobe Firefly? It seems odd that Adobe would phase out the capabilities of XD.
