Linking a file, then auto updating on saving

Hi guys,

I am setting up multiple artboards within XD which are multiple different sizes for banners, posters, web hero images etc. Is there a way I can have one image on all these different artboards and then update that image (overwrite it) and then within XD all the images will update to the newest one?

The idea is for anyone to be able to open up a .PSD file and update the image within that file. Export it as a .JPG (overwritting the existing .JPG) then the images update within XD. A lot like indesign works with linking images. Is this possible?

Thanks!

You cannot have multiple sizes of instances of a symbol or use linked assets in XD. I totally agree you should be able to do these.
