Question

Lock aspect ratio for component in library

I'm building an SVG-based icon collection I'm sharing as components via a CC library. In the master file, all of the icons have locked aspect ratios (the lock icon between the width/height is enabled). The icons are then shared via a CC library for others to use in their projects.

Currently, when someone tries to drop an icon into their project, the aspect ratio is unlocked, so when they start resizing it, the artwork sometimes becomes distorted. Is there a way to retain the aspect ratio lock when publishing to a CC library? It seems like it's ignoring that for my components.

Can you check in HTML (SVG code) is icons Constrain="enabled" after publishing?

Hmm, I'm not sure if it's an option that's available now, I'd just suggest them resizing it while holding shift, which is the easiest way to retain aspect ratio. But if you want to create a feature request for that, here's the link: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests
