Losing Artboards constantly after save

Hi, I'm consistently losing artboards from saved files. I've been struggling majorly after the November update. (XD v. 24.2.22.8, CC v. 4.3.14.8, macOS 10.14.6 (18G1012)) I will save to the cloud, then when I reopen or even just come back to it later, I have artboards and a bunch of work missing. I've checked the pasteboard and they are not there. Even in the history, each version seems to sporatically save certain artboards. I was able to open up a bunch of different versions to get pieces of things back but I do now have to start over. I've now converted back to saving it to my computer, and am not sure if I'll have the same result or not. I see a bunch of posts about this, but no resolution that I can find. How do I prevent this from happening and is there even a way to get back all the work I just lost????

We are sorry to hear that you are facing trouble. We would like to know a few more details like-

 

  • Is it happening with the files on which you are using co-editing feature or with all the files?
  • Would you mind generating the log files using this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html?After the files have been generated, upload the files to a shared location such as Creative Cloud, and share the URL with me over a private message.

Hi Harshika,

 

I'm working on the logs and will send them to you when it's complete. I do believe I figured out the issue. I had saved an artboard, as I needed one at a custom size, to my CC library. I was dragging and dropping it on to my canvas but the artboard names were duplicates. It was deleting what looked like any instance of a duplicate name as well as some random ones. Once I stopped using the artboard from my CC library, the issue stopped.

 

I would love to be able to save a custom sized artboard to the components library or better yet add it to the artboard list for easy access.
