Menu in a hover menu
Can u create a sub menu in a drop down hover menu???
When I click on any thing in the hover drop down menu,it does not connect further to any artboard.how does one get that done in XD?

You can certainly connect from an element in a hover state to any artboard. Just select an element within the hover state and choose a destination, set the trigger to "tap", and choose a transition.
