No linking inside of Symbols?

Created a navigation bar and converted it to a Symbol. Using it across several pages. When prototyping I can only link the entire Symbol but cannot link any element inside the symbol.

Is this expected behavior?

When you turn your navigation bar into a Symbol, you can’t link the buttons inside it separately while prototyping. It treats the whole Symbol as one thing. To fix it, you can use Detach from Symbol on one page and make your links there. That’s what worked for me

Kyle & Peran,

I just discovered the same thing as I began converting hundreds of elements in my art boards to "Nested Symbols within Symbols" or grouped symbols (depending how you set them up).

I have already added a feature request for it, make you you up-vote it.

    This feature isn't currently available in Experience Design but is being investigated for a future release.
