Overlapping hotspots when scrolling, issue

Hi all

I'm experiencing some issue when testing some screens that have hotspots on fixed components and hotspots on scrolling components.
When the hotspot goes behind the fixed component ( an icon on a top menu bar for example ) it overlaps with the fixed component hotspot and takes over, making the fixed element linking to the wrong page..

Anyone else having this issue??

Hi!

Look at this screen...

Adobe XD CC

The arrows and crosses on the left side are all clickable... the list scrolls down and goes behind the bottom menu, and the arrows and crosses hotspots are still clickable when they go behind the menu...

now, when they overlap with the actual bottom menu buttons, and you dont click exactly on the button with extreme precision, you might hit the hotspot behind it and go to the wrong page..

What is in the background and goes behind foreground components should not be clickable.... I know this is prototyping but functionalities should be as close as possible to the developed app or website...

Hi DaniUX, thanks for sharing the prototype and explaining the details, I have found a similar issue raised here: -  Prototype fixed element onclick bounded to element behind. – Adobe XD Feedback : Feature Requests & Bugs. Please upvote it and share the same details as comments on that bug.

Thanks,

Hi DaniUX, thanks for the feedback about this issue. I would request you to install Adobe XD 10 and share the results.

Please check this link where this was filed: - Hotspots misplaced in Live Preview on the XD mobile app because of the Fixed Position feature – Adobe XD Feedback : Feat…

To update, please launch Adobe Creative Cloud, click on 3 dots on the top right side and click "Check For Apps Updates" and update Adobe XD.

Thanks,

I mean, the hotspot are not misplaced when scrolling, but they still overlap...

A fixed component in the foreground doesent prevent a hotspot in the background (and scrolled behind the fixed component) to be clicked, and sometimes it takes over the foreground element's hotspot..
